Coronavirus (COVID-19) Faculty and Staff Resources

The university continues to work with county and state officials to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We encourage our college’s faculty and staff to visit NC State’s primary coronavirus web page (ncsu.edu/coronavirus) for the latest updates. Below, we’ve provided links and information to help you navigate the evolving situation.

Keep Teaching

NC State’s Keep Teaching website provides helpful guidance and resources for preserving and continuing classes.

Travel Guidelines

The CDC has issued or updated travel advisory levels, guidance and alerts for various locations across the globe. NC State offers further guidance for the campus community.

Event Information

In order to encourage social distancing outside the classroom, effective immediately and until further notice, NC State is prohibiting on-campus events, meetings and gatherings of more than 100 people. Individuals and groups can submit an appeal for special event circumstances by completing an Event Exception Request. Appeals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

We encourage the campus community to move meetings online where possible, using technologies such Zoom or Google Hangouts. Review the video, audio and web conferencing solutions provided by NC State’s Office of Information Technology.

In addition to larger gatherings, students, faculty and staff are also encouraged to use these or other technologies to limit smaller gatherings such as staff meetings and study groups.
