Last month we shared news about the WIlliam T. Grant Foundation Scholars Program. As noted in that post, our college can nominate only one junior faculty member for this competitive program. Because the application deadline for this program is July 3, and we want to ensure that our designee has the time to write a competitive proposal, we are setting the internal college deadline for submission for materials for review in the research office by May 1, 2024. In the submission to the research office, please provide two items: your full C.V., and a two-page description of the project you plan to propose to the foundation. Submit these materials to Associate Dean Tom Birkland at tabirkla@ncsu.edu. The individual selected for this will be chosen based on the strength of the idea and the clarity of the proposal’s appeal to the foundation’s focus areas: Reducing Inequality and Improving the Use of Research Evidence.
