Subrecipients
If you plan to work with external collaborators, you must first complete the Checklist to Determine Subrecipient or Contractor.
If our office determines the collaborator is a subrecipient, please send us the contact information for the research administrators at the other organization.
Some organizations have internal deadlines for preparing subrecipient documents, so we would like to start working with them well ahead of the proposal submission deadline. Subrecipient materials are due to our office two weeks prior to the solicitation deadline.
At a minimum, we require the following documents:
- Letter of Intent (signed by authorized official)
- Statement of Work (defines subrecipient’s role, not NCSU’s role)
- Itemized Budget with Justification
- Copy of Federally Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement
- CV of PIs
If the specific guidelines mandate additional forms, our office will notify the PI and subrecipient.
