Marvin Hunt specializes in the English Renaissance, especially Shakespeare. He is associate editor of the New Variorum Hamlet project and is the author of Looking for Hamlet (Palgrave, 2007) which received a starred Kirkus review and was a top ten best seller among academic titles in 2008. His secondary interest is in creative nonfiction, primarily travel writing. His travel stories have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The North Carolina Literary Review and elsewhere. His most recent book is Among the Children of the Sun: Travels in the Family Islands of the Bahamas (2012).
He is also a frequent book reviewer.
