Our Priorities

Recruiting Top Students

Since its inception in 2012, the Dean’s Scholar Award program — supported by the Humanities and Social Sciences Excellence Fund — has enabled us to recruit dozens of top students who are leaders, creative thinkers and doers. These merit-based awards provide scholarships for tuition and hands-on learning experiences such as study abroad, internships or research.

Learning by Doing

In our college, students learn by doing. Research shows that students experience a deeper level of learning when they study abroad, participate in undergraduate research and take internships. Your gift makes those opportunities possible.

Supporting Graduate Students

Our graduate students are deep thinkers, teachers and leaders. They’re making a difference in their fields, the community and beyond. By supporting graduate research and assistantships, you will help put knowledge into action.

Backing Our Faculty

Our college is home to more than 600 faculty. They mentor students and change lives. They’re called upon regularly for their expertise and their insightful perspectives. Professorships are essential for recruiting and retaining top scholars.
