Trained as a digital archivist, Paula Chan is a historian of authoritarianism, information networks, and justice in modern Europe. Major research projects include Soviet investigations of Nazi crimes, Stalinist repression of Jews after World War II, and the post-communist rehabilitation of people convicted of political crimes.
