Carmen Durham
Bio
Carmen Durham, PhD. is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in the World Languages and Cultures (WLC) Department at North Carolina State University. Dr. Durham has taught Spanish, English as a Second Language, and Romanian in a variety of contexts. Her teaching and research focus on teacher education and preparing pre-service teachers to use technology and humanizing pedagogies. Her work has been published in venues such as The Journal of Teacher Education, Teaching and Teacher Education, System, and Computers and Education, and she actively applies her research toward teaching methods courses for aspiring educators of multilingual learners.
