Talia Brenner is a PhD candidate in Public History, whose research focuses on the intersection of theater, heritage, and historical interpretation. Her dissertation project addresses the public history of the “lost colony” of Roanoke Island. Originally from Maryland, Talia holds a BA with honors in History from Brown University and completed graduate coursework at Northeastern University before coming to State. She has taught as an instructor-of-record in the Department of History for the past four years. Talia has professional experience in curriculum development, digital history, and museum education, and works part-time as a historical interpreter for North Carolina State Historic Sites.
