Shawna Sheperd

Bio

Shawna Sheperd is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media at NC State University. She is a critical disability studies scholar and digital media researcher focused on health communications. She is invested in transformative and disability justice, being an educator, and pursuing her passion projects to alleviate hunger and reduce social isolation among aging older adults through her work with Meals on Wheels Orange County, NC.
