Bio

Since I started this program, I’ve worked under the advisement of Dr. Jerrell Coggburn.  We are in the process of finalizing a longitudinal study on Human Resource Management courses taught in top Master of Public Administration programs across the United States.   In addition to this, my research focuses on employee motivation, work-life balance and talent management.

In Spring 2026, I am an instructor-of -record for both PA 312: Introduction to Public Administration and PS 201: Introduction to American Government and Politics. I am excited to learn and grow with students as they gain a deeper understanding about civic roles and responsibilities.  The PhD in Public Administration, as well as NC State’s graduate school, support students who want to hone their teaching skills. In addition to being able to facilitate and teach, I’ve earned a Teaching Certificate and Advanced Teaching Certificate.

During my tenure in this program, I’ve had prospective students reach out to me about their interest in either the MPA program or the PhD program here.  I am always happy to have an informational interview.  Please check out my website.
