Jessica’s research focuses on public human resources management, specifically on employee outcomes including job satisfaction, person-organization fit, and emotional labor. Prior to starting the PhD program, Jessica worked in various nonprofits in Florida and Boston including organizations that served vulnerable populations and the Susan G. Komen foundation. Her work in nonprofits was focused on nonprofit management and development as well as communications.
After moving from Boston to North Carolina, Jessica worked at the UNC School of Government for five years managing programs that served local government professionals and local elected officials across North Carolina.
