Dr. Mahony-Atallah’s research focuses on designing and implementing strengths-based, positive psychology–informed interventions that promote well-being across educational systems. Her work emphasizes Tier 2 supports that integrate academic engagement, student mental health, and educator well-being, with a focus on feasibility, fidelity, and sustainability to ensure practices can be embedded within everyday school contexts. Grounded in strengths-based and positive psychology frameworks, she frequently incorporates character strengths approaches (e.g., VIA) alongside other evidence-based well-being practices to develop scalable, school-embedded supports. Across undergraduate, K–12, and educator populations, her program of research develops and evaluates practical models that help students and teachers thrive.
