For University Honors Program (UHP) student Taquan Dewberry, Student Government and community advocacy are the foundation for something far greater than himself.
When he first stepped foot on @ncstate’s campus last August, Taquan was uncertain of what his future held. Soon after joining the Honors Village, he started to find his place through advocacy, academic excellence, and community service, eventually leading to his run for Student Government. Now, the Philosophy and Computer Science double major plans to continue representing the student voice so long as he is able, while remembering the roots that allowed him to be where he is now.

CHASS 🤝 dinosaurs? CHASS 🤝 dinosaurs!
On your next visit to the @naturalsciences museum in downtown Raleigh, you’ll cross paths with mighty dinosaurs and the @ncstate scientists that study them, including associate professor of History, Paul D. Brinkman.
Brinkman was in Montana at the original site of the “Dueling Dinosaurs” fossils in 2006 and he has now seen the exhibits public unveiling of this first-of-its-kind open lab experience at the NCMNS in April.

Did Charles Dickens’s 19th century writing style influence modern television? Big slay 😌
Developments in literacy and print helped serial publications of novels over many weeks or months to gain traction and become hugely popular in that era.
@ncstate assistant professor of English Anna Gibson is the co-director of the Digital Dickens Notes Project which offers readers insight into the 19th century author’s creative mind and writing practices and new ways of interpreting texts written in a series.
