The Proposal Development Unit (PDU) invites you to the two very useful webinars described below. These will be vitally important to anyone interested in NIH funding. Their announcement follows below:

We invite everyone in the NC State research community to join us for the NIH@NC State Grantsmanship Series. This year’s webinars are designed to highlight some updates and changes in store for NIH applicants. Registration is required to receive an appointment with zoom details. Tips for Your NIH Data Management & Sharing Plan
Noon – 1 pm, November 30, 2023
In January 2023, NIH implemented its new requirements for a mandatory Data Management & Sharing Plan on research grant proposals. Now that applicants have had three submission cycles to work with the new requirements, the PDU will share what has worked, what resources PIs may find helpful, and what items to keep an eye out for moving forward.
NIH Peer Review Criteria
Noon – 1 pm, February 1, 2024
NIH’s system of numerically scoring applications on multiple review criteria can sometimes seem like a black box for those new to the agency. This session will both describe the current system, as well as the proposed efforts by NIH to simplify review criteria moving forward and the possible effects that may have on the NIH peer review system.
