The college held its annual staff awards luncheon April 20 to recognize and celebrate Humanities and Social Sciences staff. Eight staff members were nominated for awards for excellence. The college also recognized staff members who have reached milestone years in their careers with the state.

Staff Celebrated, Thanked at Annual Event

The college held its annual Awards for Excellence luncheon April 19 to recognize and celebrate Humanities and Social Sciences staff. Seven staff members were nominated by their peers or supervisors for the college's 2016 Awards for Excellence. Nominations were based on achievement in outstanding service, innovation, public service, safety, heroism and human relations. During the luncheon, the college also recognized noted staff members who have reached milestone years in their careers with the state.

CHASS Staff Awards 2014

The college held its annual Awards of Excellence luncheon on April 29, 2014, to recognize and honor CHASS staff, whose efforts, competence, and enthusiasm keep the college humming. Latonya Tucker, executive assistant in the Department of History, and Claudia Kearney, a trainer in the Center for Family and Community Engagement, were this year's winners. Update June 18, 2014: Claudia Kearney of the Center for Family and Community Engagement was selected as one of five employees of North Carolina State University to represent the university at the state level Awards for Excellence.
