Student of the Month: Hayden Russell

Hayden Russell is a graduating senior majoring in English and minoring in Classical Studies. A University Scholar, he has two ongoing research projects and an editorial internship, has studied abroad in the UK, and is a member of the Skateboarding and Game Design clubs. Hayden intends to continue his education in digital rhetoric and game studies at the graduate level.

NC State Fiction Contest solicits entries for free literary competition

The NC State Fiction Writing Contest, organized by the university’s creative writing program, is accepting entries for its 2015 competition. All North Carolina residents are eligible to enter the contest, except tenure-track professors in the University of North Carolina system, writers with a published book or previous winners. Writers have until Monday, Oct. 12, to submit their works.
