Parcel Appointed Program Director at NSF

Toby Parcel, professor of sociology at NC State, will serve as a program director with the National Science Foundation. Her appointment is part of NSF’s rotating program director initiative through which university faculty work at the federal agency for one or two years.

Entrepreneur, activist and writer Anil Dash will give NC State's 2017 Rolf Buchdahl Lecture on Science, Technology and Human Values on March 22. Dash, who advised the Obama White House’s Office of Digital Strategy, today advises major startups and nonprofits.
