What are your future plans for further study or career? Following law school, I hope to go into Criminal Law as a prosecutor. Why did you select CHASS? This seemed to be one of the few schools that offered Criminology as a major. The focus in the college is on learning about different people and cultures, and there is a tremendous variety of courses and ideas. What has been your biggest challenge at NCSU? It has been adapting to different teaching styles and expectations. Have any individuals made a difference for you here at NCSU? Yes! Dr. DeAnn Judge in Sociology has been there for me many times to offer advice or just listen when I am stressed. Dr. Brett Clark, also in Sociology, wrote a law school recommendation for me. He really helped me to see the potential I had within myself. What advice would you give incoming students? Take your time in college seriously – from the beginning. It is easy to get off track with social activities, but remember why you are here and make sure school comes first. Time management is extremely important; an overly active social life is not sustainable over the long run.
