Student Spotlight: Harrison Payne

Meet NC State student Harrison Payne, a senior triple majoring in philosophy, physics and mathematics. He's in the philosophy honors program, and has done research in the department for two years. He intends to pursue a doctoral degree in philosophy, specializing in the philosophy of physics.

She is a Caldwell Fellow, founder and president of Adopted Students Union at NC State, and has studied abroad in China and England. She aspires to work in government in the area of international relations.

Her experience includes being a chancellor's liaison, National Pan-Hellenic Council vice president, CHASS-MAS president, Dance Visions president and treasurer, and an NC State orientation leader. Miller plans to attend law school.

Simone Tucker is a freshman majoring in International Studies and Arabic. Recently elected Humanities and Social Sciences Student Senator for 2017-18, she is a member of the Mock Trial Team and multiple language clubs, resides in the Impact Leadership Village, and looks forward to a career in government or nonprofits.

Alexandra Goodfred is a senior with anthropology and English majors, and a French minor. She interns with a Raleigh book publisher, is Anthropology Club president, and is in the Scholars Program. She has studied abroad in Thailand and the U.K., and looks forward to a career in publishing.

She has held internships with NC State Athletics and the Greensboro Swarm, and she aspires to work in the athletic industry following a graduate program in communication.

Jasmine Cannon is a senior Women's and Gender Studies major with an anthropology minor. In addition to working two internships at nonprofit organizations, Cannon is a Multicultural Student Affairs Office student assistant, an officer in three student groups and looks forward to getting her doctorate in Public Health.

February Student of the Month

Madison Dillard is an anthropology junior with minors in biology and forensic science. A member of the EcoVillage, she has had archaeology field experiences in Thailand, Utah and Virginia. She plans to pursue graduate studies in physical anthropology.
