Courage, Authenticity and Being Human

For Bri Bernhardt, being human is rooted in courage, authenticity and even the inevitability of mistakes. Bri explains that to be human is to have the confidence to embrace your true self, to find strength in that authenticity, and to grow through the choices and experiences that shape your life.

She reflects, “I am a human, I’m an artist and performer, I’m a musician, I’m a student, I’m a friend, I’m a sister, I’m a daughter, and I’m a granddaughter. I’m all of these things. But at the end of the day, I’m human. And I think, I hope, other people also have the courage to say that out loud to themselves, too. Ultimately, humans are what we are, and labels mean just about as much power as you give them.”
