College Donors Contribute 867 Gifts, $463K on Day of Giving

College of Humanities and Social Sciences donors showed their strength on NC State’s fifth annual Day of Giving, contributing a total of 867 gifts adding up to $463,991.

These funds will help create opportunities for students to truly think and do, including transformative experiences such as study abroad, research, internships and more.

“We are so thankful to our donors, whose generosity will directly benefit current and future students,” says Deanna Dannels, dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. “We are especially grateful for gifts to our Dean’s Innovation Endowment, which will seed new initiatives and programs that help us be the most innovative humanities and social sciences college in the nation.”

Not only did the college raise a record number of total gifts, but every department and center received donations. The college’s Dean’s Board also offered incredible support, boasting a donor participation rate of 100% and recruiting others from their network of friends and colleagues to join our cause.

The college also won an extra $1,000 by receiving the largest gift made in the 9 p.m. hour.

On Day of Giving, donors celebrate what makes NC State great and help colleges and units compete for bonus funds through leaderboards and challenges. In all, 2023 donors raised an impressive total of $34 million for the university.

We want to extend our sincere gratitude and thanks for the generous donations made during Day of Giving. Thank you for #GivingPack!
