Why did you choose to study abroad?

I wanted to experience life outside of the US, and I wanted to meet people from other cultures.

What did you learn about yourself?

I get stressed out in situations that don’t go as planned, but I learned to take a step back and be more relaxed about everything.

What was one of your favorite parts of your program?

I loved the city I lived in and all the traveling I got to experience while I was abroad.

What advice do you have for future study abroad students?

Save as much money as you possibly can! It ended up costing so much more than I had budgeted and wish I would’ve prepared more for it.

How were your classes abroad different than if you would have taken them at NC State? Did you take any field trips or do anything outside of the traditional classroom?

Classes were so different in the sense that they didn’t do nearly as much work as we do at state. There was maybe 2 assignments I did the whole semester leading up to finals. Final exams were worth 100% of my final grade so it put a lot of stress and pressure on my exams.

Would you do it again?

Yes!
