Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty: Tom Hess

Tom Hess is Professor of Psychology. His research, which involves cognitive functioning across the life span, seeks to contradict the stereotype that getting older means losing a mental edge.  Hess has found that when it comes to making intuitive decisions, older adults fare as well as those who are younger.
