Jaide Mozingo joined the Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE) as a junior, working as a Communication Student Worker. While working for CFACE she is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in English: Creative Writing.
She graduated from Nash Rocky Mount Early College High School and Nash Community College with her high school diploma and her Associate’s Degree of Science. While at Nash she also furthered her education and experience by taking classes to obtain a Certification of Case Management. After graduating she chose to transfer to North Carolina State University to pursue her Bachelor’s degree and also to gain experience in a wide variety of opportunities offered on campus.
Combining her passion for writing and her longing to provide help for those in need, CFACE offers her the opportunity to write about topics that are in need of focus. The Center also offers her the ability to conduct research on topics of academic and personal interests in order to offer the insight to the community. Through the opportunity given by CFACE, Jaide can work with a non-profit organization to gain experience in her field of interest, help connect the Center with the surrounding community, and build communication and professional skills.
