Ways to Give
The gifts you contribute, no matter the size, make a huge difference. They impact the college as a whole. They also help so many individual students and faculty members. Your contributions enable us to think and do on an unprecedented scale.
By creating an endowment, you’ll assure support for our students and faculty for decades. You’ll create a living legacy.
Endowment gifts are invested and, when fully funded, produce annual income to support your chosen purpose. As such, an endowment lasts forever; you’ll be touching the lives of Humanities and Social Sciences students and faculty for decades. Donors can create their own endowed funds or contribute to an existing fund.
Endowed Full Tuition Scholarship
Your gift of $250,000 or more will provide full tuition support for an extraordinary student in a program of your choice and a stipend for experiential learning, service learning or study abroad.
Endowed Merit Award Scholarship
Your gift of $50,000 or more will provide a partial merit-based scholarship for an incoming freshman in a program of your choice in recognition of his or her exceptional academic ability, talent and potential.

Your gift of $2.5 million or more will provide salary and operational support enhancements to attract or retain eminent scholars to the college of your choice.
Endowed Distinguished Professorship
Your gift of $1 million or more will provide salary supplements and other resources to attract and retain highly respected scholars to the program of your choice. Many gifts qualify for state matching funds. The North Carolina General Assembly currently offers a generous gift-matching program available to donors who establish a distinguished professorship.
Endowed Faculty Award
Your gift of $100,000 or more will provide supplemental support to faculty for their teaching, scholarship, research or extension responsibilities.
Endowed Graduate Fellowship
A gift of $500,000 or more supports a student in the graduate program of your choice.
Endowed Graduate Fellowship Fund
A gift of $150,000 or more provides partial support for students in a graduate program of your choice. These funds may be used to address tuition as well as research and dissertation expenses, travel to professional conferences and other activities essential to a quality graduate education.
