CHASS Student Ambassadors

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) sponsors a select group of responsible student leaders to assist with College functions, including recruiting events, Alumni events and other special events sponsored by CHASS and NCSU. These students, with diverse backgrounds and experiences, demonstrate excellent academic achievement, student leadership and College enthusiasm.

The CHASS Ambassadors' mission is to promote NCSU and CHASS. They keep prospective students and other interested organizations on campus up-to-date on the opportunities in CHASS. You will find CHASS Ambassadors at University Open House, Visiting Days, and other University-sponsored events.

Being an Ambassador is an excellent way to hone your leadership, communication and public speaking skills. You can also make a significant difference in the way CHASS is perceived. Prospective students and their families routinely comment that they truly value the advice they receive from Ambassadors and feel that they are getting the "real picture" of what it means to be a CHASS student.

Ambassadors are selected once a year. Ambassadors must have at least one CHASS major, a 2.7 cumulative GPA, and a demonstrated commitment to college or university activities. Applications are available in mid-March for the following academic year.
