  • Univers Condensed - This font can be used as a support form for main body copy if there is not a lot of coyp in your piece or you may also use this font for captions or subheads if preferable to Trade Gothic.
  • Sabon - This font should be used anywhere there is a lot of body copy.

For easy readability

  • Use a 10-point type size or larger
  • Use type size to clearly distinguish between headlines, subheads, and body copy, and apply those elements consistently.

Publications Checklist

Two written statements are required on all University publications printed with public funds (in addition to the logo).

  • Equal opportunity statement: required text here
  • Public cost statement: "(quantity) copies of this public document were printed at a cost of (cost $ or ¢) per copy."
  • There are no guidelines about size or placement of these statements; however, they must be legible and included somewhere on the publication, preferably on the inside back cover or back cover.

Strongly recommended for all print publications

  • Web address
  • Phone number
  • Physical address and/or campus box and zip
  • Date - adding a small date 8/08 - for example in the corner of your brochure will make it easier for you to know when you printed it.
